AYURVEDIC WELLNESS PRACTITIONER

Program Overview

The Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner (AWP) Program is based on the second goal of Ayurveda— ‘Aaturasya Vikara Prashamanam’ (Wellness management). At this level, the emphasis is on gaining a deeper understanding of the illness process and management techniques at its various stages. Students will gain thorough understanding of Ayurvedic science and techniques. Along with the instructional hours student must complete 200 hours of clinical internship either in India or in Freemont, CA. Upon successful completion of the AWP Course you will be awarded an Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner Certificate.

Program Objective:

Program practical and theoretical subject covers

  • Advanced Antatomy, Physiology & Basic Principles
  • Pathophysiology & Ayurvedic Diagnostic Methods
  • Advanced Herbology & Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics
  • Advanced Bodywork, Detoxification & Rasayana
  • Kayachikitsa I: Management of Digestive System & Metabolic Disorders
  • Kayachikitsa I: Management of Digestive System & Metabolic Disorders
  • Kayachikitsa II: Management of Nervous System & Musculoskeletal Disorders
  • Kayachikitsa III: Management of Respiratory System & Cardiovascular System Disorders
  • Kayachikitsa IV: Management of Skin, Special Senses, & Mental Disorders
  • Kayachikitsa V: Management of Reproductive & Excretory System Disorders
  • Clinical Internship

Prerequisites:

The minimum admission requirements for AWP program is completion of AWC or any such equivalent program.
