The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Program at Param Institute of Education (PIE) is 500 hours (20 weeks) comprehensive program includes classroom instructions and clinical externship training.
The program is designed to prepare students to assist medical providers by performing administrative duties and basic clinical duties in an office and/or medical center.
This health care professional performs administrative and clinical duties and may manage emergency situations, facilities, and/or personnel. Medical assistants work in physicians’ offices, clinics, hospitals and other medical facilities under the supervision of a physician.
At the completion of the program, graduates who have diligently attended class and their externship, studied, and practiced their skills should have the necessary skills to seek entry-level employment as medical assistants.
Graduates of the program may be eligible to take the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) examination offered by National Health Career Association (NHA).
